Accidental shooting leaves Columbus man hospitalized; girlfriend arrested
COLUMBUS, GA (11-2-15) - A woman has been arrested and her boyfriend was hospitalized after police say he was injured during an accidental shooting.
Columbus police were called to Saint Francis Hospital around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday for a shooting victim.
When they arrived, the victim told police he shot himself in the groin by mistake. The 25-year-old man told police the shooting happened on the 3900 block of Willis Road.
The man eventually gave police a different version of that story; he said he was showing his girlfriend how to handle the weapon. When he put the gun in her hand, the gun went off.
Shabriel Graddy, 21, has since been arrested and charged with reckless conduct.
Graddy was issued a summons and has to appear in court.

13 year old airlifted after accidental shooting
(11-2-15) A 13-year old boy was flown to the Johnson City Medical Center early Saturday evening after suffering a gunshot wound to his abdomen. The incident occurred at a home in the Zionville area sometime around 6:30, with Watauga Medics and Cove Creek Fire/First responders rushing to rendezvous with the family and the injured teen in the 9200 block of US 421 North, the lot of Valley Grocery, finding the young teen suffering from the blast of a shotgun, pellets striking him in the abdomen. First arriving Watauga Deputies and Medics called for the WINGS Air Rescue chopper and set up a landing zone nearby to rush the boy to the Johnson City Medical Center. Deputies then turned their attention to the scene on Camp Joy Road of what is being described as an accidental shooting by another 13-year old—both said to be from Tennessee. Deputies said pellets were found in a wall of that residence.

Fatal shooting victim ID’d, death ruled accidental
ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (11-2-15) – The death of a man found found fatally shot in the head Saturday morning has been ruled an accident.
Adams County Coroner Leslie Cook said Monday Devin L. Hirschy, 29, of Berne, died of a single gunshot wound to the head. She ruled his death accidental.
Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, police were called to home in the 7400 block of North Monmouth Road inside the Piqua Estates mobile home park just north of Decatur after a person reported finding Hirschy’s body, according to Adams County Sheriff’s Department.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Adams County Sheriff Shane Rekeweg said two other people were inside the mobile home at the time of the shooting. Rekeweg would not release any other details.
The case remains under investigations, Rekeweg said.
