HEMET: Teen girl shot; boyfriend arrested
Hemet, Ca (2-24-16) A 17-year-old girl was shot Tuesday, Feb. 23, and her 19-year-old boyfriend was arrested several hours later after Hemet police determined her injuries weren't consistent with the initial story that the gun accidentally discharged.
The shooting was reported about 11:45 a.m. an apartment in the 300 block of West Latham Avenue in Hemet. When police arrived, they learned that friends had taken the girl to the hospital, Lt. Dean Evans wrote in a news release.
She was hit in the upper torso, but her injuries weren't life-threatening and she was stable on Wednesday, Evans said.
Officers initially were told that the victim was shot when someone dropped a gun and it went off.
Because her injuries weren't consistent with that story, detectives took over the investigation and determined that her boyfriend, Timontae Antwon McDonald, had shot her on purpose after an argument, Evans said. He was arrested about 8:30 p.m. at the police station, jail records show.
McDonald was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is being held at the Southwest Detention Center, with bail set at $1 million.

These cases actually makes me think that what we are all about. You can take help from the firearms training classes to get the guns, know how to use them and know what they are all about, but one thing that you need to learn yourself is that when to use them and when not to, because situations and necessity should be decided by you.
