COLUMBIA, SC (12-13-15) No charges are being filed against a hunter who accidentally shot a rifle round through a business window on Garners Ferry Road, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's department spokesman Lt. Curtis Wilson said the incident happened at Schneider Electric around 3:30 p.m on Friday.
Wilson said a hunter near the business fired the round and it struck the business' window.
No one was injured.
WOMAN KILLED AFTER ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING IN FAYETTEVILLE
FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- (12-14-15) A woman died after an accidental shooting in Fayetteville.
It happened Saturday around 11:00 p.m. in the 6500 block of Wicklow Place.
Police said a man and a woman were in the home when a gun went off after being knocked from its storage place, injuring the woman.
Erline Freeman, 26, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where she later died from her injuries, according to authorities.
Police charged 28-year-old Richard Pugh-Newby with involuntary manslaughter. He was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Facility under a $15,000 bond.

Worthington man injured in accidental shooting
HOPKINTON, Iowa -- (12-14-15) A Worthington man was injured from a self-inflicted gunshot wound while trapping Sunday in Delaware County.
Carey Ahlers Jr., 51, was transported to Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque for treatment of a non-life threatening injury, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources said.
Ahlers was attempting to load his .22 caliber handgun while checking traps at 9 a.m. when it discharged, striking him in the leg. The incident occurred approximately four miles north of Hopkinton.
The Iowa DNR is investigating.

Two More Accidental Shootings For Hunters And Trappers This Weekend
Worthington, Marshalltown, Iowa (12-14-15) In addition to an accidental shooting in Guthrie County this past Saturday, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has reported there were two more injuries related to hunting and trapping in the state on Sunday, Dec. 13. At approximately 7:45 a.m. Sunday morning, 70-year-old David William Clark of Marshalltown, who was deer hunting near the Basswood Recreation area near Emmetsburg in Palo Alto County, was sitting on a log with a loaded shotgun when it accidentally discharged as he was changing positions. Clark was transported to the Palo Alto County Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his hand. At approximately 9 a.m. that same day, 51-year-old Carey Ahlers Jr. of Worthington suffered a self-inflicted injury to his leg while checking traps near Hopkinton in Delaware County. Ahlers’ .22 caliber handgun accidentally discharged as he was attempting to load it. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both of these incidents remain under investigation by the Iowa DNR.
