Burlington Woman Shot In Apparent Accident

BURLINGTON —(12-16-15)   A woman is being treated for a leg injury after what appears to be an accidental shooting, state police said.

The woman's injuries appear to be minor, said Sgt. Jack Goncalves of the Troop L barracks in Litchfield. He said the woman apparently was cleaning a gun when it fired.

The incident happened about 10 a.m. on Foote Road.

Deputies investigate apparent accidental shooting

BATON ROUGE - (12-16-15)  Sheriff's deputies responded to an accidental shooting Wednesday evening.

An ambulance transported a victim to an area hospital, sources said. The extent of their injuries was unclear.

The shooting happened in the Indigo Park development off Nicholson near Gardere.

No arrests were made as of this post.
