FATAL SHOOTING IN LAWTON APPEARS ACCIDENTAL, ACCORDING TO LAWTON POLICE
Lawton, Ok. (12-13-15) The victim was stationed at Fort Sill in the Army but is not from Lawton. Police received a call about a man being shot at an apartment complex in the 5200 block of Rogers Lane. Police were given the description of a vehicle leaving the scene around that time. Officers found that vehicle south of the complex on 52nd Street with the victim inside, according to a news release from Lawton police. The victim, whose name was not immediately released, is stationed at Fort Sill. Police say after conducting numerous interviews, including one with the alleged shooter, the incident appears to be accidental. We will continue to update you as we get more information. South Side boy, 5, accidentally shoots self in hand
Chicago, Ill. (12-12-15) A 5-year-old South Side boy accidentally shot himself in the hand Saturday afternoon in the 5900 block of South Calumet Avenue on the South Side, the police said.
They said the boy was treated at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital and was in good condition.
