18-year-old's shooting death in Carmichael called accidental          

Man, 22, is arrested on involuntary manslaughter charge

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) — (9-20-15) Officials said a 22-year-old man they arrested accidentally discharged and fatally shot an 18-year-old woman inside a Carmichael apartment complex on Saturday.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said the suspect, Kenyatta Brown, is being charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Detectives said Brown was negligently handling a gun when he accidentally shot Joslynn Sovenski in the chest at around 2:45 a.m

Sheriff’s Office investigates accidental shooting

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Oh    (9-20-15) The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accidental shooting involving a teen.

Deputies were dispatched to Blairwood Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday.

When officials arrived, they questioned a witness and discovered the incident actually happened on Coulson Drive.

Dayton Police were also called in to investigate when they received reports that the 16-year-old victim and her friend showed up at Miami Valley Hospital’s emergency room. According to the report, the friend told police they were at the victim’s grandmother’s house. She said the victim was “playing” with a gun and holding it near her leg. The friend said she asked the victim to put the weapon down, but the victim accidentally shot herself in the leg.

Police: Woman injured in accidental shooting on 611 Avalon Road

JACKSON, MS – (9-20-15) Police say a woman has been shot on 611 Avalon Road.

According to Officer Green with Jackson police, the incident happened around 2:18 pm. The shooting was reportedly accidental.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
