12-Year old accidentally shot in the Middle Tennessee area

Tullahoma, Tn  (8-27-15)  A 12-year-old boy was injured after what appears to be an accidental shooting.
Tullahoma officials say the incident involved a hunting rifle and took place Friday afternoon around 5:30 p.m. Officials said the victim was taken to Harton Regional Medical center by his parents before being taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
According to Winston Brooks with City of Tullahoma, the 12-year-old was responsive after the accidental shooting on Avondale Lane.
His condition is unknown at this time.

Colorado Springs Police Blotter

Colorado Springs, Co  (9-11-15)    Officer McClellan and Officer Crockett were dispatched to the 100 block of N. Academy Blvd. regarding a shooting. Investigation revealed that a male was sitting in a vehicle and did not want to take his concealed gun into a business. The male was taking his gun out of a holster that he had been wearing, removed the clip and placed the gun on the floor. While placing the gun on the floor the gun fired one round into the male’s foot. This was determined to be an accidental shooting and no one was charged. The male was transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment

15 YR OLD DIES AFTER BEING SHOT IN THE HEAD

Queens, NY  (9-12-15)   Roughhousing by four 15-year-old pals ended in tragedy when a gun accidentally went off in a Queens apartment Friday, fatally shooting one of the teens in the head, the victim’s best friend said.
Wilta Wordsworth and best friend Nia Skrine were hanging out with two boys in Wordsworth’s Far Rockaway apartment when one of the boys pulled out a gun, Skrine said Saturday.
“He was playing with it, and it went off,” Skrine said.

The bullet struck Wordsworth, police said.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Skrine said. “I kept touching her. She wouldn’t wake up. She was stiff.”
