Severn, MD (9-14-15) One person was injured after a shooting at gun range in Anne Arundel County.
The shooting happened at the On Target Maryland indoor shooting range on the 2600 block of Annapolis Road in Severn on Monday afternoon. One person was injured in what appears to be an accidental shooting, SkyTeam 11 Capt. Roy Taylor said. The person was taken to Shock Trauma in critical condition, police said.

Officer saves teen in accidental shooting
Tulsa, Ne (9-14-15) An officer’s quick actions saved a Tulsa teen Sunday afternoon.
A 16-year-old shot himself in the leg; when police arrived, he was conscious but incoherent.
Officer Brian Wilson, fearing the teen had severed an artery, applied a tourniquet to the teen.
Medics took the victim to St. John’s in serious condition. Doctors confirmed he had severed an artery with the gun shot, and Wilson had saved the victim’s life by preventing him from bleeding to death.
Officers say this is the second time the teen has accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Hull man charged with murder in shooting death of girlfriend
Hull, Ga (9-14-15) A 35-year-old Hull man remained Monday in the Madison County Jail on charges of murdering his girlfriend Friday evening at their home, a spokesman for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said.
James Telvie Samples is charged with felony murder, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Samples admitted shooting 22-year-old Candace Michelle Welch once in the chest with a small-caliber handgun, Lt. Jimmy Patton said Monday.
The suspect told deputies that the shooting was accidental, Patton said.

Clark County teen accidentally shot in chest
Springfield, Oh (9-14-15) A Clark County teen was accidentally shot in the chest Saturday, the Clark County Sheriff’s office announced in a press release Monday.
The 17-year-old male was shot at a home in the 3300 block of Laura Lane in Mad River Twp. just before 7 p.m. and taken to the Springfield Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to the press release. The hospital then alerted the sheriff’s office to investigate the shooting.
Sheriff’s investigators determined that an unnamed 19-year-old who thought the gun was unloaded ‘dry fired’ the weapon and struck the 17-year-old in the chest.
The victim was treated at and then transferred to Miami Valley Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Georgia teenager accidentally shot and killed his 17-year-old friend during 'horseplay' with a gun
Monroe County, GA (9-14-15) A Georgia teenager has died after he was shot by a friend who was 'recklessly' playing with a gun, according to police.
Officers believe that the 18-year-old suspect Kaleb Oliver Greene had been engaged in 'horseplay' when he accidentally shot Gabryon Walker in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 17-year-old victim was rushed to Medical Center Navicent Health but was pronounced dead at 2.45am, September 12
Allison Selman-Willis, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer, said officers were called out to the tragic shooting in Old Rumble Road at 1.30am.
But when they arrived, they found that the suspect had already fled.
Witnesses claimed that Greene had disappeared into the nearby woods shortly after the incident, but he was tracked down 'several hours later' with the help of dog teams from the Georgia Department of Corrections, to a home in Houston County.
Selman-Willis told AJC: 'Two other teens who were present when the shooting occurred told deputies that the suspect fled on foot into some nearby woods.'
