San Antonio, Tx (9-23-15) Police aren't sure whether a shooting at a birthday party on the city's west side at midday was intentional, or an accident.
But what they do know is a 16 year old boy is dead, and another 16 year old is being questioned.
"They celebrated the birthday last night, apparently they spent the night and at some point this morning they were playing with a gun," Sgt. Javier Salazar said.
Police were called to an apartment complex at Hamilton and Ceralvo about 11:30 this morning on a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they say the boy was already dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
"The suspect pointed the gun at the victim's head and pulled the trigger," he said. We are trying to determine what the suspect's intent was, and if he knew the gun was loaded."

Manhattan, NY (9-23-15) A State Supreme Court officer accidentally shot himself in the hand Wednesday afternoon after taking his gun out in a Manhattan courtroom.
The officer was checking his gun at 111 Centre Street when the bullet discharged, grazing the palm of his hand. He was taken to a hospital, treated and released.
“He’s lucky,” said Dennis Quirk, president of the New York State Court Officers Association. “It’s an unfortunate situation. We’re thankful it’s just a superficial wound.”
The incident will trigger an investigation by the court system’s Inspector General and the NYPD.
