Police: Man injured in accidental shooting
(10-22-15) MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Brooklyn Center police say a man needed hospitalization after he accidentally shot himself early Thursday morning.
At 2 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the report of a gunshot victim at a house on the 5300 block of Morgan Avenue. As officers were arriving, they were told that this was a possible accidental shooting.
Upon arrival officers located a man in the home with a gunshot wound. Police say he was conscious and alert at the time and no other occupants of the home reported injuries.
The man was then taken to the hospital and is expected to recover fully from his injuries.
After talking to witnesses at the scene, it was determined to be an accidental shooting. No charges are expected.

Man wounded in shooting near Denmark
(10-22-15) NEW DENMARK — A 39-year-old man was shot in the stomach by his friend, a 40-year-old man, at a residence in rural southern Brown County on Wednesday night, sheriff's officials said.
The shooting occurred in the 5700 block of Cooperstown Road, south of Denmark near the Brown-Manitowoc county line, shortly before 8 p.m. The wounded man was rushed to an area hospital.
The shooting appears to be accidental, but alcohol may have played a factor in the incident, sheriff's Lt. Jim Valley said Thursday morning. The men were not identified.
The investigation continues. Its findings will be forwarded to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office for review, Valley said.

1 Injured In Accidental Shooting
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - (10-22-15) Police said a man showed up to the hospital claiming he had been hit by a stray bullet.
The incident allegedly happened on South 6th Street just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities said the man eventually confessed he had accidentally shot himself with a friend’s gun.
Officers said the man was expected to be okay.

Mother critical after shot in the head by child
(8-17-15) A mother is in critical condition after she was accidentally shot in the head by her four-year-old son.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation did not release the name of the woman, who was flown to a hospital.
The GBI said the mother and son were in the car parked in front of their home on Cutter Road near Douglas.
According to a report, the child found the gun in the car and thought it was a toy.
That's when he picked it up and pulled the trigger.
