note;
This blog reports daily gun accidents in America. The purpose is to draw attention to the dangers of gun ownership while refuting the lie "guns don't kill, people do." A follow up "logic" posits people are killed by cheeseburgers or whatever, should they be illegal? Cute, but propaganda to sell guns. And these cutsie propaganda campaigns cause American children to die every week. The number of accidental shootings is proportional to the number of guns in America. The NRA's and Ruger et al have a goal of gun and ammo sales and profit. And innocent children are dying because of it.
In the hands of trained professionals guns are dangerous. See October 22nd post of the Lewiston Police officers wounded, two by one bullet. Or any of the other numerous officers wounded or killed at the shooting range or cleaning a weapon. The result of the NRA/ Industry propaganda campaign is untrained people who have no gun experience purchase a gun. That increases the number of accidental shootings.
My hope is awareness of the dangers of gun ownership will reduce the number of shootings and death. Personally, I don't own gun, but am from a hunting background. I love fresh game and support hunters. I am well trained with guns. But for protection I recommend a dog. Also, I personally guarantee if you do not own or allow guns in your home your children will not die from your gun. That isn't funny. Most people shot are by a gun in the home.
This is but the second post. Please pardon those comments as my mission statement.
This blog will contain only local news reporting of gun accidents. I will avoid any political sites or commentary. Please share this blog and spread common sense. Thank you for reading and feel free to comment.
